Launching Logistics Support Project for Thailand, Land of Smiles

Yusen Logistics Co. Ltd. (President: Hiromitsu Kuramoto) launched the "Logistics Support Project for Thai Floods Damage" on November 1, 2011.

We would like to extend our sincere sympathies to all those affected by the flood damage in Thailand, as well as to their families and everyone involved.

The Yusen Logistics Group launched the "Logistics Support Project for Thai Floods Damage" on November 1, 2011, led by the Business Development & Planning Department. (Project Leader: Shoji Murakami, Director and Managing Executive Officer)

Yusen has been operating in Thailand since 1969, and during the past 42 years has assisted large numbers of customers, including Japanese-affiliated companies. Within the context of this long association with Thailand, Yusen Logistics (Thailand) has sent a donation of 1 million baht to provide relief to the victims of the flood and to contribute to the reconstruction of the affected area. Also the company as a whole is helping to prevent interruption of the supply chain for the many companies that have moved into Thailand.

This support project will utilize to the full our global network spanning five regions (Japan, Americas, Europe, East Asia, and South Asia & Oceania) for the purpose of providing logistics support to enable our customers to resume business, in the form of reconstruction support to reconstruct logistics in accordance with local conditions, alternative transportation support, device procurement transportation equipment, transport support for plant and equipment related to recovery, and so forth.

As logistics professionals, the Yusen Logistics Group will continue to respond to the diverse requests of its customers.
