The Yusen Logistics Group Holds First International Conference

Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; president: Hiromitsu Kuramoto) held "YLK International Conference 2011" at its head office on May 19 and 20. Attending the conference were approximately 130 managements from the five regions, namely Japan, the Americas, Europe, East Asia, South Asia and Oceania.

Mr. Hiromitsu Kuramoto, who became president in April, gave the opening address. At the conference, the overall conditions, progress of business integration, and business strategies for each of the overseas regions and affiliate companies were reported. The participants were then divided into four groups for open cross-cultural communication on themes related to the business integration, such as “value to customers” and “integration of culture.” Moreover, the Head Office Organization of GHQ explained the progress of the integration, the medium-term business plan, and CSR approaches.

The conference was timed to coincide with the integration of overseas business and the launch of the medium-term business plan, GO FORWARD, Yusen Logistics. Managements from 32 countries around the world came together with a common purpose: taking the first step in the fusion and preparing for a new era of growth and the dramatic progress as the YLK Group.

We will continue providing our customers with high-quality logistics services as a global logistics company, with the world as our stage.
