Yusen Logistics Hungary Kft. opened a strategic branch in Koper, Slovenia.
This is the only Japanese logistics provider in Slovenia.
The opening ceremony took place on the 11th of October, 2019 and was attended by approximately 50 delegates from 11 countries, including Mr. Masaharu Yoshida, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Republic of Slovenia. The ceremony was followed by a guided tour of the Koper Port.
In his speech, Ambassador Mr. Yoshida said that “Investment and business of Japanese companies in the region are increasing. We expect all companies, including Yusen Logistics but also any other Japanese company, will utilize the competitive advantage of the Koper Port.”
In addition, Mr. Dimitrij Zadel, President of the Management Board Luka expressed his expectation for the increase in logistics activities and demand thereof in the Port due to the Japan-EU Economic Partnership Agreement that came into effect in February this year.
With the establishment of this branch, Yusen Logistics has expanded bases in 46 countries and regions.
We will focus on Koper Port as a gateway to Central Eastern Europe, and in Slovenia we will provide optimal supply chain logistics services whilst taking advantage of our global network.
